Sunflower Valley

“It gives you a good feeling. Each year, you rediscover in a garden the magic of life. A flower arrives, and it is a miracle. The leaves fall in the autumn, and it looks fantastic. There is a tenderness about a garden, and you can't help but be sensitive to that.” - Hubert de Givenchy

Yellow is a colour often overlooked in the bridal and wedding world. Understandably so, it is bold and eye-catching, harder to style and harder to complement other colours and details. How can we work with bold colours while also creating a soft and elegant bridal look? With this styled shoot we want to inspire brides to step out of their comfort zone—not just with colour palettes but also to be adventurous and take advantage of the beautiful nature we have here in BC. Make use of the landscape and the seasons, the result can be epic, bold and excitingly different. With so much details in the landscape and flowers, we wanted to keep other elements simple and clean. Hannah Tikkanen’s gown provides a modern yet minimal alternative bridal look. Filled with layers of soft fabric, it is ethereal and elegant. Earrings from Sarah Mulder Jewelry also give Kristina a refreshingly modern look.
