My photography style is a culmination of my creative passion and deep fondness for art and old world romance. I believe celebrations can be reimagined with a sense of poetic narrative. Greatly inspired by impressionist artists, I combine my love for photography with classical art. I take inspiration from my favourite artists: Monet, Van Gogh, Pissarro, Rembrandt, etc. Their teachings on composition, colour, and lighting are foundations to my work.

A large part of my job and one that I value most is taking photos that will impact people for years to come. Wedding photographs are your legacy, and I don’t take this responsibility lightly. At weddings, there are countless beautiful details and subjects to photograph, but at the back of my mind, I feel a deep sense of obligation to photograph beyond what is “typical”. What does it really mean to take a great photo? And how can I evoke a specific feeling through photographs?
The true meaning and legacy of my work is how my photos will impact people for years to come. Will they become your family heirloom to be passed down for years to come? I value your experience and what my work can offer you above anything else.

Fashion / Editorial Photography
My photography journey actually began with fashion and portraiture work. As much as I enjoy shooting weddings and engagements, I also find much joy in working as a creative director. Getting to plan a shoot from start to finish is a great way to ignite my creative passion! It is also a great way for me to put more meaning behind my work.
Published in Vogue Italia. You can find more of this shoot of Cinobi’s (one of my favourite designers!) couture gowns here. Hopefully this shoot goes to show (for Chinese brides-to-be) that honouring Chinese heritage can also be a veritable fashion statement, and can be done so in an elegant, sophisticated way.
Spending time with my dog, Pixie
On days that I’m not shooting, you can find me editing away with my little sheltie on my lap, or out on a walk with her. Pixie was rescued from an unethical breeder who kept her in a cage for five years. From these years of neglect, she was left with a deformed hip, dislocated knee and zero positive contact with humans. Even her foster family gave up on her as her condition was hopeless. After months of rehabilitation, surgeries and giving her as much love as possible, she eventually gained trust in us. Every dog deserves a chance. Watching her rediscover love and hope has been the most rewarding experience of my life. Today Pixie has a puppy-like curiosity to the world, loves to smell rocks, and loves to cuddle!

Shot from my time exploring the ethereal Jasper National Park. With travel photography I hope to unveil (and remember) the magnificence of the world that we live in. Unfortunately, with climate change, we must realise what is at stake and what we must do to preserve for the future of our planet. If you’re also interested in giving back to the world, here’s an organisation I donate to that plants trees.
